Let's face it, anyone with a decent voice, enough money, and the right people can usually turn out a decent record. But few of those artists can actually connect with their audiences and listeners in a relevant way, as well as identify with them through their pain, their struggles, and the overall hardships of life. Jeff Morris' sophomore project, "Everything", does just that.
Yes, we've all had hardships, and we've learned to cope and gain wisdom from those experiences. But translating those experiences and ministering to people through music is a totally different story.
"For so many years I tried to become a star," says Jeff. "I tried to put the focus on me. When you do that, your life just seems to get out of whack. I experienced a lot of really dark times in my life, but it's amazing how God is using my past experiences. I definitely have a testimony of God's mercy and grace."
Under the direction of veteran producer, Scotty Wilbanks, (Newsong, Third Day), "Everything" has all the production values and high profile talent that you'd expect from a seasoned professional, and a whole lot more. The album encompasses a variety of genres ranging from rock and roll, praise and worship, pop ballads, and even country.
Jeff does more than entertain. His talent, personality, and more importantly, his heart, touches the lives of people of all ages. Through that unique ability, Jeff has been given the opportunity to open for and share the stage with bands and artists ranging from Newsong and Casting Crowns, to Todd Agnew, Big Daddy Weave, Building 429, Matthew West, Lincoln Brewster, and Salvador, just to name a few. He's also a regular artist on the Mark and Mack Revival Tour, who hosts the #1 Christian Morning Show in Alabama.
But when you look past the expensive production and unbelievable talent, you find a man who just wants to impact the lives of people. "I didn't have a choice on whether or not to make this CD," admits Jeff. "God has given me a talent" I have to use it for His glory, and these songs really reflect my desire to devote everything I have to him because of what He has done in my life."
"The first few times I sang through some of these songs, I cried. I can remember one week, I was driving back from Atlanta after recording all week. I put in the rough mixes of what I had worked on and as I listened, tears started streaming down my face. These songs have really touched me and have literally changed my life. I hope people will experience them in the same way and be touched as much as I have."
Jeff's songs are currently getting airplay on 38 radio stations worldwide, and his CD, "Everything" is available in all Lifeway Christian Stores and online at CDBaby.com. He is also a WorldVision artist, and makes his home in Birmingham, AL along with his beautiful wife, Mina and two precious girls, Darian and Marissa.
